Windward Islands

The Southern Lesser Antilles

The Windward Islands are the end of the arch started by the Leeward Islands in the north.

They stretch all the way to the northern coast of Venezuela in South America.

They are so named because they are the windier and wetter of the Lesser Antilles.

They are mostly of volcanic origin and some of them formed of coral structures, making this a paradise for divers and snorkelers.
