St Maarten One of the Dutch Antilles

St Maarten is the tiniest island in the world shared by two countries

From Puerto Rico, we often used to fly there for long weekends. It was always one of our favorites!

It shares a small island on the Northeast of the Caribbean with French St Martin.

When you drive from one side to the other you actually cross a “border” going from the Netherlands to France.

No border to cross

But in reality there are no borders, just a sign and a monument.

Life on the island is relaxed and friendly. The people always smile.

This is a sign they are happy to welcome you to their island. You will enjoy every moment of it.

Despite the official languages on either side, English is widely spoken everywhere.
