By Cruise About one million visitors arrive to the shores of Jamaica by cruise on their Jamaica Travel. Practically all Top Cruise Lines serving the Caribbean will stop at either Montego Bay or Ocho Rios Jamaica. My clients ask for those cruises stopping in Jamaica because of the weather, the nature and the spectacular beaches. Most of the Caribbean Cruise Vacations leave out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale ports and just a few from the ports up north and the ones on the Gulf of Mexico. Jamaica is visited on the itineraries called Western Caribbean Cruises. The following cruise lines regularly service Jamaica: Carnival Cruise Lines Celebrity Cruises Costa Cruises Disney Cruises Holland America Lines MSC Italian Cruises Norwegian Cruise Line Princess Cruises Regent Seven Seas Royal Caribbean On your sailing vacation Private sailing boats to Jamaica must enter the country through an official port of entry. Immigration and customs services are available at the following ports: Kingston's Port Royal Montego Bay Port Antonio Ocho Rios Port Kaiser Port Esquivel Discovery Bay Bowden

Getting around Car Rental Is the only way to tour the island of Jamaica on your own. It may be a little expensive. Many companies provide rental cars in the larger cities of Kingston, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. The major car rental companies offer services all over the island with the possibility of renting in one place and returning it in another. Jamaica maps are very accurate and can be a lot of help. Buses I do not recommend the buses of Jamaica for the tourists. They are not reliable and there are practically no schedules. I imagine the locals know how to deal with that, but do not ruin your vacation waiting for buses. Bike and scooters This is great for the younger people to visit the island from west to east and from south to north. With a bike or a scooter you may visit places not easy to reach with cars or buses. They are easy to drive and easy to park. Many companies rent them all over the island. Beware with the roads some of them are not in best conditions. Jamaica Weather Jamaica like the rest of the Caribbean Islands has a tropical climate. It is hot between 80 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, during summer and about 10 degrees less in winter, but the days are appeased by the constant breezes. July through November are the rainy months. The rains are tropical and stop as fast as they start. Jamaica Travel is for more than one vacation Now that I've told you so much about Jamaica, let me tell you that this country is a perfect destination for all kind of vacations. Think on Jamaica for your Caribbean Wedding. Make your plans for an Island Honeymoon. Bring your family for a great Caribbean Family vacation. And if you are young or just young at heart come for great Scuba Diving Caribbean, Caribbean Snorkeling or all kind of Caribbean Sports.
