Jamaica plus Island Hopping

My partner and I want to go to Jamaica for a few days to elope on the beach and stay in a resort and then island hop via ferry or a cruise.

Can you please help as I don't know where to start and we need to book this is ASAP.

Jamaica is located south of Cuba and in the center of the Caribbean Sea with not many small islands nearby.

Let me divide your question in two: Regarding beaches and resorts in Jamaica, they are some of the best in the whole Caribbean.

Regarding Island Hopping, I suggest you fly to Puerto Rico or St Maarten. I thinks this can be included in your original ticket from Australia.

From one of these islands you may start your island Hopping because they are near each other and it is easy to find transportation in the way of ferries or small planes.
