Follow me on this adventure called Caribbean Travel and Life. We lived in the Caribbean for most of our lives and love the area like no other placed on Earth.

Many think of the Caribbean as a place to visit for a weekend or a week. Some come here for the day on a Cruise.

But the Caribbean Islands are a great place to live and build your roots. This is what many Europeans and North Americans have done during the years.

Let us explore our cuisine, beaches, cities, sports and maybe one day you'll be one of us.

Caribbean Cuisine – It comes from a mélange (mix) of cultures that have left their mark on the area.

The Caribbean Islands were originally inhabited by the local West Indians. Those were the Carib and Arawaks, on the Eastern Islands and the Tainos, and Siboneys on the Island of Cuba, Hispaniola and Borinquen which is today’s Puerto Rico.

Caribbean Ecotourism – This is not an old concept. Only in the last few decades have people started to think in those terms and try to save the planet on one hand and visit and enjoy nature on the other.

The idea is that many travel companies have been looking into an Alternative Tourism to minimize the negative influences on the environment produced in the past, by providing a nature oriented alternative to resort based tourism.

Caribbean Festivals - The many Caribbean Festivals in the different islands represent the real nature of Caribbean Culture diversity.

The people express themselves in many different ways due to the different origin of its inhabitants. In my opinion the number one of all of them is the Carnival of Trinidad Tobago. It resembles although in a lower scale the famous Rio Carnival.
