Caribbean Best Beaches

How can I tell which are Caribbean Best beaches? The following beaches are in my opinion and the opinion of many the best ones in our area. There many more that can fit this category.

Here we are going to mention the few that are undisputed the best of best in the Caribbean for their white powdery sands, crystal clear waters and all over environment.

Not all the great beaches must have white sands like in Saba where the coast is rocky or in Dominica where most of the beaches have black sand. One good thing about black sands is that they absorb the heat of the sun.

• The Gold Coast on Barbados Beaches

Barbados is blessed with some of the Caribbean Best Beaches in its Gold Coast, called sometimes Platinum Coast. Here you’ll find some of the extravagant deluxe hotels you see only in the movies. The best beaches in the area are Brandon Beach, Paradise Beach, Brighton Beach and Payne’s Bay. They are all open to the general public.

• Cane Garden Bay in Tortola BVI,

This is a spectacular stretch of beach, 2 Km long that is a favorite with joggers. The sands are white like powder and the waters, well you know, you can see your toes inside them.

• Shoal Bay in Anguilla Island

I think this beach is one of the reasons Anguilla has such a position in the world today for its beaches. Not only sand and waters but it is also great for Caribbean Snorkeling with the magnificent schools of colored fish in the coral gardens offshore.

• Dickenson Bay and Half Moon Bay in Antigua Island

Antigua prides itself of having 365 great Antigua Beaches, one for every day of the year. They are all superb as in its sister Barbuda Island. But if we have to chose the best, then Dickenson bay and Half Moon Bay on the northwest coast are the ones. Many hotels open directly to these beaches.

• Palm Beach in Aruba

Now, this is the white sand stretch that put Aruba on the Map of World Beaches. It is without doubt the best of Aruba Beaches. It has been praise by several important publications like Conde Nast Traveler as some of best beaches in the world. The swimming, sailing or Aruba Fishing here is spectacular.

• Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman Island, Cayman Islands

We were just there a year ago and can attest to its beauty. They call it seven miles and it is really a very long stretch with white sands and shades because the background is dotted by Australian pines. The average temperature of the water in winter is 80 F about 27 C.

• Republica Dominicana

Here my choice is difficult. I personally know the Dominican Republic Beaches and I can tell you that my choice is the area of Punta Cana Beaches, located on the easternmost tip of the Island of Hispaniola, facing Puerto Rico.

The area of Punta Cana and Bavaro Beach are lined by the best All Inclusive resorts. If you haven’t been in Punta Cana, try to find the moment to visit. You’ll love it.

• Grand Anse Beach in the Island of Grenada

Grenada, together with its islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique have almost 50 beaches, but this is world known as one of the best. The shallow waters are covered by white sand. Most of the hotels are nearby.

• Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica

• This another beach with the same name as above, but this time it’s in neighboring Jamaica. Located on the northwestern tip of the island it is without a doubt one of the best Jamaica Beaches. For those that like the idea, the beach has some nudist sections.

• St Jean Beach in St Barth Beaches

A somewhat narrow golden sand beach, St Jean is the gem of the island, reminiscent of the French Riviera, though you're supposed to keep your top on. Reefs protect the beach, making it ideal for swimming.

• Canouan Island in the Grenadine Islands

If you're looking for an idyllic, secluded stretch of perfect white sand, head for the remote and tiny island of Canouan, one of the pearls of The Grenadines, a string of islands lying south of its parent, St Vincent.

• Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

These 20km (12 miles) of pale sands are the pride of Provo, short for Providenciales, the beach has been named the "World's Leading Beach" at the World Travel Awards for 4 years running. It's such a spectacular setting that increasing numbers of resorts have sprung up along the shore.

• Trunk Bay in St John, US Virgin Islands

This beach is protected by the US National Park Service; this beach is one of the Caribbean's most popular.

A favorite with cruise ship passengers, it's known for its underwater snorkeling trail, where markers guide you along the reef just off the white sands; you're sure to see a gorgeous rainbow of tropical fish.

• Anse Chastanet, in St Lucia Beaches

This beach is better reached by water taxi, because walking from the Soufriere is somewhat difficult. Anse Chastanet has some of the island's best snorkeling. A resort of the same name crawls up just behind the dark sand beach.

• Pink Sand beach in Harbour Island, Bahamas Beaches

This famous pink sand beach on an islet of Eleuthera Island is one of the world's most photographed beaches and often voted as the world's best beach by various travel publications. It's a three mile stretch of powder sand named for its salmon color due to flecks of red plankton mixed with fine, sugar-white coral sand.

• The Baths, Virgin Gorda BVI, British Virgin Islands

Talking about Caribbean Best beaches, this is a palm lined silky beaches with deep pinky gray sands and peppermint green water. Although Virgin Gorda has great beaches like Devil’s bay, Mahoe Bay or Pond Bay, this one catches number one prize on the island. It is great for all year round Caribbean Snorkeling.
