Boca Chica is a reef protected lagoon
One of the nicest Dominican Republic Beaches

The beach is shallow and great for families with children

The Aru of Boca Chica are a reef protected lagoon with white sands and clear turquoise waters.

The waters are shallow to the point that you may walk out a hundred meters on its transparent waters and still be only waist deep.

Needless to say that is a perfect beach for small children. If you are on vacation try to avoid Sundays, the day when the capital’s residents drive just half an hour to the beach, especially on the particularly hot days of the Caribbean.

The rest of the week the beach is for you and only a few more tourists.

You may find everything you want in Boca Chica Dominican Republic. There are plenty of restaurants for every budget as well as hotels catering to many tourists.

The nightlife is superb, due to the proximity to the airport and the capital.

Vendors wander the beach selling you anything imaginable from paintings to silver jewelry.

They are just trying to make a living and take back home a few dollars.
