Beach Vacations
In the Caribbean's white sand and blue waters
The Caribbean is ideal for Beach Vacations. You’ll find in our area so many idyllic and exotic beaches that it will be difficult to decide where to go. I will try to give you as much information as possible, from my experience visiting the Islands for more than 40 years. Many of the new Resorts and improvements to their tourism infrastructure have happened in the last 20 years.

Exotic white powdered sand beach in Barbados
Deciding where to go When we are planning a beach vacation the first question is: Who is going? According to the answer we could recommend many places that will make your trip an unforgettable one. There are islands with secluded beaches and coves, like Anguilla or Carriacou just to mention two, great for honeymooners and romantic couples of any age. Other islands are more cosmopolitan like Jamaica or Puerto Rico, great for families with children looking for lots of activities. Sands of all colors The Caribbean Beaches are sometimes very different from each other. The sand is not always white powdered white; let’s see a few examples; Pink sand is formed by the colorful red shells that are broken into powder by the surf, forming this beautiful pink color. Black sand beaches are of volcanic origin. The lava flows to the Caribbean Sea and eventually come back to shore in the form of grey or black sand.

Sandy Island in Carriacou, St Vincent and the Grenadines
The beaches are as calm or as rough as desired Many of the beaches are quiet and relaxed while others are very rough, especially those bordering the Atlantic Ocean. Some are white powdered sand beaches and others are made of inaccessible cliffs. In some of them you can walk for a mile once inside the water and in some you can practice snorkeling or scuba diving among other Caribbean Sports. I handpicked a few of my recommended beaches for incredible Caribbean Family Vacations, Honeymoons and for spectacular Caribbean Weddings.

Lovely couple on the beach near their Carnival Cruise
Canouan, St Vincent and the Grenadines – In this remote island you’ll find the most idyllic and secluded beaches. They are never crowded. Trunk Bay, St John USVI – Is one of the Caribbean’s most popular beaches. It’s protected by the US National Park Service. Grand Anse Beach, Grenada – Among the more than 40 beaches of Grenada, this one is the best. The white sand stretches enough to give all visitors enough space to enjoy their holiday.

Gorgeous beach in French St Martin
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic – It’s a 20 mile long beach made of white powdered sand lined with palms. Pink Beach, Barbuda – Part of the nation Antigua and Barbuda, it is so underdeveloped, that is the nearest possible to Paradise. Anse Chastanet, St Lucia – This is what tropical means to me and many others. Colorful vegetation surrounded by exotic flora and fauna, forming a contrast with the black sand beach of volcanic origin. Tintamarre Island, St Martin – Off the coast of St Martin you can find your most isolated beach experience. Deserted beaches surrounded by azure, crystal waters. Little Bay Beach, Anguilla – To reach this secluded beach you have to go by boat. The ride is worth it. You’ll find yourself in a white as talc beach surrounded by a high cliff on three sides.
