About Barbados Beaches Privacy All beaches in Barbados are open to the public. Properties on a beach-front may own the land to the high-water mark only. Every Bajan (Barbadian) has the right to use the beach and the beach properties must provide free access. Nude Bathing Because of its old British heritage Barbados is a conservative country, therefore there are no Nude Beaches on Barbados Island.Nude bathing is actually illegal. Beach Vendors All beach vendors are regulated by the authorities. They are not supposed to bother the tourists. If this is the case you should report it to the police. They are present in many of the beaches

Barbados Beaches by location Southwest coast Brandon’s Beach - Is located a couple of minutes walk from Bridgetown, the capital. Like anywhere in the west the waters are calm and swimming is a pleasure. This beach is near the Cruise Terminal, making it very attractive for cruise ship visitors. There are many facilities for water sports and many other beach activities. Sandy lane Beach - Is an idyllic beach on the west coast south of an area called Holetown, which hosts many restaurants for all budgets as well as many bars and nightlife entertainment. In 1961 a world known resort “The Sandy Lane Hotel” is located at beach front and has gained the reputation as one of the best Beaches resorts in the Caribbean. It has been visited by royalty and famous personalities. Batts Rock - Is located a few minutes from the capital Bridgetown on the west coast. It is a public beach visited by locals and tourists alike. It offers all kind of facilities for picnics, playgrounds and many games for small children. Paradise Beach - Is next to it, with benches for picnics between the two beaches under many trees that offer the most needed shade.

North Coast Here you’ll find awe inspiring views and many secluded coves and bays.The waves are sometimes very wild and the area is not recommended for swimming. If you decide to swim even if it is on a small cove, don’t do it by yourself. Try to be accompanied by people who know the area. East CoastThis is a surfer’s paradise and International Soup Bolw is held here annually. Swimming is not recommended. Bath - This beach has public facilities and is great for family picnics and get-together Bathsheba - Is a long stretch of beach ideal for long walks, picnics or just plain relaxation. The scenery is beautiful and compensates the fact that its is not good for swimming.

South Coast This area is where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, therefore the beaches are not so calm as in the west coast but much calmer than those on the east and North. Here you’ll be able to please everyone in the family like swimming or snorkeling over the reefs. Accra Beach - Features local vendors along the coast where you can buy anything imaginable. The beach is very popular with locals. There are eating facilities as well as chair rental Miami Beach - This beach features crystal blue waters. During Sundays and Holidays this beach is packed with locals in large numbers. There is enough parking space and plenty of places where to eat and chairs for rent. Dove Beach - Is a great placer for surfing, since there is always a breeze and the currents are a little stronger than on the other beaches. South East Coast Crane Beach - Is a more developed area with a few high-rise hotels. The high waves are ideal for surfing Foul Bay - Has no facilities for food or shades but is still used for picnics and exploration Crane Beach - Has large waves and is visited by many surfers. Bottom Bay - Near Sam Lords Castle an exclusive hotel which is somewhat hidden away.
From personal experience I can tell you that you will love these Barbados Beaches as much as we did when we went there for our first Family Vacation with our three children.
