• Bimini Bahamas Bimini is a popular destination for American travelers being the closest of all islands to the Florida coast. On a clear night you can see the lights of Miami Beach. The Biminis are a tiny group of islands consisting of North and South Bimini, Cat Cay and Gun Cay. They are the farthest south islands of the Bahamas. • Long Island Has white sand and crystal clear water beaches and some limestone caves that continue underwater. The population is about 3,500. • Mayaguana Is the original Indian name. The island is great for sailing vacations due to its safe harbors. It features great fishing, swimming. and of course some snorkeling and scuba diving. • San Salvador The island where Columbus first landed in the Western Hemisphere. This is the only attribute of this islands. Besides that it is very lightly populated and the people make a living by fishing. • Exuma Bahamas Exuma Bahamas is an assortment of cays and islands in the middle of the Archipelago and offers to the traveler excellent boating and Bahamas fishing. Yachtsmen from all over the world meet here due its marvelous clear turquoise waters. Many cays of the Exumas are uninhabited and some of them are just pieces of sand emerging from the seas.
