Bahamas Beaches
Bahamas Beaches, among the best Caribbean beaches are scattered all over the islands. Bahamas is a country of 700 islands of which many are uninhabited and few are big, populated and important from the tourism point of view. I am going to enumerate a few of the beaches that are also mentioned in the other pages of island by island. Click here to Share your Story

Cable Beach This beach is located in New Providence Island. It is a 4 mile stretch of great beach. The most important about Cable beach is the easy access to all kind of shops, restaurants, hotels and casinos. It is a very busy strip. Cat Island’s Beaches This island features while sand exotic beaches shaded by coconut palms, casuarinas trees and palmettos. One of the beaches Old Bight is a curved beach with powder sand and north. This beach is usually very quiet and sometimes you’ll find that you own the beach. The beaches on Cat Island do not offer beach facilities. You’ll have to come prepared from your hotel. This is the price to pay for pure silence and seclusion. Pink Sand Beach It runs to the whole length of Harbour Island featuring pink sands and just a few hotels and villas. The place is very safe to swim due to the coral reef protecting the coast.

Cabbage Beach Located on busy Paradise Island is usually very crowded especially near the big Bahamas Resorts. It is shaded by palms, casuarinas and sea grape. Paradise Beach Located on Paradise Island, this is one of the best beaches in the entire area. It is mainly for guests of the Atlantis Resort it lays at the western end of the island. Saunders Beach Located east of Cable Beach is a beach frequented by locals. It can be a lot of fun. This beach is located across from Port Charlotte. They lack public facilities. Xanadu Beach It is located in Grand Bahama. This long stretch of white sand beach is accessible by shuttle to the guests of the Freeport Bahamas Resorts. The swim is great and sometimes gentle surf. Even though this beach is not so crowded you may move in either direction and find more quiet spots. Saddle Cay As explained the Exumas are round shaded islands strung one to another as a chain. But this beach, Saddle Cay has a horseshoe shape. It can be reached only by boat. Once there you’ll be glad you came, because you’ll find no trace of civilization.

It is isolated and difficult to reach and only a few people visit it. You have to walk or rent a bike to get there. Delaporte Beach West of Cable Beach is a public beach which is less crowded. It has no facilities but it’s worth the try.

The Atlantis in Paradise Island Bahamas
Western Esplanade It is also called Junkanoo Beach. It is near Nassau and is very convenient to those staying at nearby resorts. It has a narrow strip of sand and many changing and toilet facilities. Ten Bay Beach It lies on the island of Eleuthera near Palmetto Point north of Savannah Sound. The waters and sands are idyllic. Stocking IslandThis is one of the finest exotic beaches of the Bahamas, located in the Exumas, near Elizabeth Harbour, the main harbor of the country. It is also near the little capital town of George Town. You can reach the isle by boat. It is great for Caribbean Snorkeling and scuba diving in the crystal clear waters. This island is also well known for its blue holes, underwater caves, and coral gardens. This is what I call a romantic getaway. If you are one of the lucky tourists to come to the Bahamas Beaches, you’ll enjoy every minute spent on the Islands.
