A Beautiful Island with lots to see and great French Music

Spectacular water fall in Dominica

I recently visited Dominica for the World Music Creole Festival.

For those of you who love French Caribbean music, I have no doubt that you would love it! This was my first time although I had been wanting to go for years and it was such a wonderful time.

The slogan says that its 3 nights of pulsating music and it really is non stop music with so much to do. Besides the festival itself, there was also the Cadance Festival, Creole in the Park and smaller Creole festivals all over the island.

I ended up staying at a small Inn called Narakiel's Inn which was literally across the river from the venue where the festival was held so hearing the music in the background, really put me in a festive mood.

Although I was there for over a week, there was so much to do that I hardly got to explore the beauty of Dominica. But I did get to Champaigne Beach, the Trafalgar Falls and the Sulfur pools which were all wonderful.

Dominica really is a gorgeous island with lots of lush, green vegetation everywhere, you can see it as soon as you approach on the plane and definitely on the ride from the airport which is a bit windy and an adventure on its own.

Dominica has earned its title as the Nature Island of the Caribbean and is definitely a French music lover and ecotourist dream destination.
